First off, I would like to thank you for visiting our website. My name is Alex Zaro, founder of ZaroSports.
A little about myself- I come from a Dominican family and was born and raised in the Bronx. I have been a sports enthusiast my whole life and love to play basketball. My fitness journey began as a teenager when I wanted to improve myself as an athlete. I was tall and skinny and was looking for ways to grow my shoulders so I could bulldoze my opponents. From there, fitness quickly became a passion of mine.
As any athlete will tell you, striving for greatness does not come without set backs. Over the course of two years, I tore and repaired both of my ACLs. That experience pushed me to work through injury and set backs. Because of my injuries, I was intrigued to further my knowledge of the human body and continue to develop my training programs to prevent these types of injuries for others.
My professional training certification comes from the National Academy of Sports Medicine- a global leader in providing evidence-based certifications and advanced credentials for health and fitness professionals. I am certified with both the CPT (Standard Personal Training Certification) and the PES (Performance Enhancement Specialization) and most recently the FNS (Fitness Nutrition Specialization.)
I created ZaroSports to inspire, support, and build a community for those who seek greatness for themselves.
